BEDS
True four-posters,
the Country Hepplewhite,
Sheraton,
and Pencil or High Post
Beds (also available in a Three Quarter Post height) can support
curtains or canopies on their tester frames, serving their original
privacy and heat-retaining functions. Our Sheraton Tall Post Bed, with
its high dramatic posts, gestures to the historic four- post style.
With shorter posts than the Sheraton but equally graceful, the Cannonball Bed is an
American original, named for its distinctive round finials.
Headboard styles are
interchangeable, and tester frames are optional on the high-post
styles. Alterations include adjusting the rail height from the floor,
interchanging finials, and adjusting the width and length of a standard
king size to 89-1/4”l x 77-1/4”w California King
proportions. Rails on all beds are 6”w. All king size beds or
larger have an additional center support and a clearance of
11” from the floor to the bottom of the box spring.
To All the
Folks at Vermont Furniture Works,
We received
our High Post bed this week. In short it is a "stunning" piece of
furniture. It is easy to believe that in this modern age there are no
craftsman. Everything it seems is cheap and disposable. It is a
pleasure to know that there are some great craftsman in Vermont.
It might be
interesting for other customers to note that we bought our bed
completely over the Internet Your site was one of several that popped
up when I performed a search on "Colonial Furniture". Your website is
completely honest in its content and descriptions as I can confirm in
the final product.
Keep up the
great work guys!
Sincerely,
Jim and Sandy
